Between sand & sea
In his latest zine, 'Between Sand & Sea', photographer Janko Bosch takes us on a nostalgic route to an old Dutch fishermen's town, now a town for summer tourists. Isolated between the sand of the dunes and the North Sea. The urban scenes in this project are filled with hints of a childhood lost, the passage of time, and scenes of transience. Those who see it will enjoy his unique take on this Dutch village.
Do you remember this place that’s locked between the sea and the sand of the dunes?
This place that smells of a summer holiday.
With every look you see your childhood although you haven’t really been there.
It’s not that time stood still it just ran slower in these streets.
And although you’re still in your home country this place feels strangely foreign with it’s white houses looking over the sea.
And then you remember and you see its glorydays were the ones in your childhood.
Now do you remember that place?
